Hot Bird 9 and W2M Testing In Temporary Positions

HotBird9 and W2M, Eutelsat 's newest satellites launched two weeks ago are testing now in temporary positions before beiing moved to their final destinations . Hot Bird 9 , which will be positioned at 13 degrees east is now testing at 1.0 degree east while W2M ,to be positioned at 16 degrees east is testing at 1.7 degrees east.
HotBird9 will replace Hot Bird 7A which will be moved to 9 degrees east, where it will replace Eurobird 9 . this will increase the total broadcasting capacity at 9 degrees east from 20 to 38 transponders.
